General After our first visit to New Year's Eve 2014, where we were very satisfied by the way, we found out why always, not to visit the Meerhof in Alzenau. Now we're not that wild asparagus, but we're always on the sling block. I have already described the interior of the place in my previous recite of New Year 2014. Today we are talking about the outside areas. First, it is noticeable that a large parking space is available for the drivers. A very generous area is also reserved for the bicycles. And there is also a parking lot for some campers. However, an obolus is required via a ticket machine. Only the first and only free table with shadows at the time, we took into a matching one. Two girls and a man apparently took care of the guests. One of them went very fast to our table. You know what you want to drink? Oh, yeah! We had thirst from cycling and ordered two common wheat. As it turned out later, Erdinger for proud 3,70 €. From the bottle? But super gifted and served well cooled. On this occasion she brought us a menu and drew attention to two daily dishes that were praised on a slate table next to the normal food offer. Otherwise she was only seen three times at the table. Only after a pleasant time she sent us to the request. Later, when they offered a few that, while we our food, for a short question and annoying answer from me, to the table, a table that becomes free. But it was not necessary, because in the meantime we already had a pleasant conversation with the two, so that a change of the place was not necessary. The bovine strips were present in sufficient quantity. The meat well fritted and really seasoned, therefore very tasty. When cutting, there was a very small pink shimmer. Maybe a small tick too tight without using the chewing tools for a fee. Since the representatives of the genus Blattsalate and other raw food can be seen well on the photo, I save the individual list. Three slices of fresh baguette also had their share in our overall saturation. Gasthaussalat Meerhof Cleanliness table, cutlery that stands on the table with the napkins in a beer jug. The guest garden and the toilets in the restaurant made a well-maintained and clean impression. Conclusion: This season is a beautiful destination to stay outside with good food and drinks. Allgemein Nach unserem Erstbesuch an Silvester 2014, bei dem wir übrigens sehr zufrieden waren, ergab es sich für uns, warum auch immer, nicht mehr, den Meerhof in Alzenau zu besuchen. In der letzten Zeit kam er wieder in unser Gedächtnis. Dafür waren hauptsächlich die Zeitungsartikel in unserer abonnierten Tageszeitung verantwortlich, die während der laufenden Fußball-EM ständig über die tolle Stimmung am Meerhof beim Public Viewing berichtete. Drei Komponenten trafen zusammen, die uns erinnerten, dass wir dort doch wieder mal einkehren sollten. Zum einen, weil wir uns in Alzenau zwei Tickets für die am Samstag stattfindende Museums- und Shoppingnacht in Aschaffenburg mit integrierter kostenloser Nutzung des öffentlichen Nahverkehrs für Stadt und Landkreis kaufen wollten. Zweitens bot sich dafür bei dem super Wetter eine Fahrradtour mit Einkehr zum Mittagessen im Meerhof geradezu an. Und drittens entdeckte ich, dass der Meerhof seit 2016 auch im Schlemmerblock gelistet ist, was bedeutet, dass bei zwei Hautgerichten nur eines berechnet wird. Nun sind wir ja nicht so ganz wilde Sparfüchse, aber ab und an setzen wir auch auf den Schlemmerblock. Das innere des Lokals habe ich ja schon in meiner vorherigen Rezi von Silvester 2014 beschrieben. Heute geht es um die Außenbereiche. Zuerst fällt auf, dass ein riesiger Parkplatz für die Autofahrer zur Verfügung steht. Ein durchaus großzügiger Bereich ist auch für die Fahrräder reserviert. Und einen Abstellplatz für etliche Wohnmobile gibt es auch. Für diesen wird allerdings über einen Ticketautomaten ein Obolus verlangt. Die Höhe dessen sowie die Ausstattung entziehen sich meiner Kenntnis. Eingang Biergarten Vor dem Haus steht ein kleinerer Bereich als Gastgarten zur Verfügung. Tisch- und Stuhlausstattung siehe Foto. Unser Tisch im Gastgarten vor dem Restaurant Im großen, sogenannten Weißbiergarten (hier hat der Schlemmerblock keine Gültigkeit war schon alles vorbereitet für das heutige Halbfinalspiel der Franzosen. Da werden wohl wieder so knapp 800 Leute Platz nehmen. Bedienung Gegen 12.30 Uhr schlossen wir unsere Fahrräder an den dafür vorgesehenen Holzbalken an und begaben uns direkt in den Gastgarten. So knapp 30 Gäste verteilten sich an ca. 15 Tischen, die allesamt von Sonnenschirmen umgeben waren, aber nicht alle hatten dabei aufgrund der hochstehenden Sonne auch Schatten. Gleich den ersten und zu der Zeit einzigen freien Tisch mit Schatten nahmen wir in Beschlag. Zwei Mädels sowie ein Mann kümmerten sich augenscheinlich um die Gäste. Eine davon begab sich aufmerksam recht schnell an unseren Tisch. Wissen Sie schon, was Sie trinken möchten? Oh ja! Wir hatten Durst vom Radfahren und orderten zwei alkoholfreie Weizen. Wie sich später herausstellte, Erdinger für stolze 3,70 €. Aus der Flasche? Aber super eingeschenkt und gut gekühlt serviert. Bei dieser Gelegenheit brachte sie für uns je eine Speisekarte mit und machte uns auf zwei Tagesgerichte, die zusätzlich zum normalen Speisenangebot auf einer Schiefertafel angepriesen wurden, aufmerksam. Ansonsten wurde sie nur noch dreimal an unserem Tisch gesehen. Zuerst nach angenehmer Zeit, die sie uns zum Aussuchen ließ, zur Bestellung. Später, als sie einem Paar, das während wir unser Essen einnahmen, sich nach kurzer Frage und bejahender Antwort von mir, zu uns an den Tisch setzte, einen frei werdenden Tisch anbot. War aber nicht nötig, denn zwischenzeitlich hatten wir schon eine angenehme Konversation mit den beiden geführt, so dass ein Platzwechsel nicht erforderlich wurde. Ja und zum dritten Mal dann zum Kassieren als ich einer Kollegin gegenüber unseren Zahlungswunsch entgegenbrachte. Das Essen wurde vom Mann serviert, der uns dabei übrigens auch einen guten Appetit wünschte. Für uns trotzdem okay, im Gastgarten kann man halt nicht immer so präsent sein, wie im Restaurant. Weite Wege, viel Arbeit, wir haben volles Verständnis, auch wenn ich gerne noch ein richtiges Weizen getrunken hätte. Essen Beim Aufklappen der Speisekarte fiel mir sofort die erste Seite auf. Heute Haxentag. Etliche Variationen von der Haxe waren im Angebot. Auch preislich in Ordnung. Und auf einem Nebentisch wurde gerade eine Mords Haxe serviert. Mein innerer Schweinehund kämpfte mit mir. Und ich blieb hart, entschied mich für den Gasthaussalat „Meerhof“ (13,50 € . Und zwar für die Variante mit Rinderfiletstreifen. Ein richtig gesundes Sommeressen, das auch meiner Herzallerliebsten Wahl war. Optisch ansprechend auf dem Teller präsentiert, wurde dann, nach einer etwas längeren, aber durchaus vertretbaren Wartezeit, der mit einem wohlschmeckenden Honig-Senf-Dressing angemachte Salat serviert. Die Rinderstreifen waren in ausreichender Menge vorhanden. Das Fleisch gut gebraten und ordentlich gewürzt, deshalb sehr schmackhaft. Beim Schneiden dessen war noch ein ganz kleiner rosa Schimmer zu erkennen. Vielleicht einen kleinen Ticken zu fest, ohne allerdings die Kauwerkzeuge über Gebühr zu beschäftigen. Da die Vertreter der Gattung Blattsalate und anderer Rohkost gut auf dem Foto zu erkennen sind, erspare ich mir die einzelne Aufzählung. Drei Scheiben frischen Baguettes hatten auch noch ihren Anteil an unserer totalen Sättigung. Gasthaussalat Meerhof Sauberkeit Tisch, Besteck, das mit den Servietten in einem Bierkrug auf dem Tisch steht sauber. Gastgarten wie auch die Toiletten, die sich im Inneren des Lokals befinden, machten einen gepflegten und sauberen Eindruck. Fazit: In dieser Jahreszeit ein schönes Ziel zum Verweilen im Freien bei gutem Essen und Trinken. An schönen Tagen durchgehend warme Küche ab 11 Uhr ist ein weiterer Pluspunkt.
