My first time here (I don't often come to alvin) and I really enjoyed it. my wife and I shared the grilled chicken club sandwich and it was a lot for both of us. good distance between the tables. it was quite crowded (mid hour,) but our order was taken quickly and we did not have to wait long for the food. I'll eat here again.

Great place for home cooked food! Large menu to pick from that changes a little from day to day. I usually always order their Chicken Fried Steak as it's really hard to beat, it's just that good and one is plenty big for satisfying a big appetite! I order mashed potatoes and gravy along with fried okra and a glass of iced tea! They also usually have meatloaf, fried chicken, fried catfish, liver and onions, and a large selection of sides! They also have burgers and other sandwiches if that's what you'd like. The staff is always friendly and helpful also! Great place for breakfast, lunch, or dinner!

We are full-time RV'ers in town a short while. The servings were excellent and huge, and prices minimal. They would have received 5-Stars IF the waitress had been more attentive. Never once did she stop by and ask if we needed something else, and several times walked by while we were trying to get her attention. Bottom line is a wonderful meal (with rolls, cornbread and three sides) chosen from a many option menu that is large enough for dinner plus another dinner at home, all for less than $10 (senior) or $11 (regular). Biggest biscuit I've ever seen!! Food is great home cooking style. The grilled pork chops are delicious. Tons of selections too. Love coming here for family breakfast or dinners!

Food was amazing. Portion sizes were huge and extremely tasty. Service was on point! It was the best country fried chicken we've ever had!
