Hi y’all the food is just like an old fashion diner . Friendly staff and lots of menu choices. Comes out hot and fresh more than enough for even a big appetite. Lots of easy parking. We went on a Saturday at brunch time no wait quick service. Calm and quiet atmosphere I recommend this place to everyone ……..until next time see you soon View all feedback.
Great little at home dinner. Crispy chicken salad was pretty darn good.
Cute place has some patriotic stuff on the walls. Older crowd and locals eat here. My friend and I had heard about it so we decided to venture here to see if it was a good place to dine. I got breakfast-three eggs scramble, sausage and biscuit and the chunkier potatoes. If I go back again, I would go for the hash browns instead or maybe grits if they have them. The potatoes were adequately cooked but I prefer more flavor. The eggs I think were not cooked in butter which I would prefer a buttery taste so that was kind of disappointing to me. I had the sausage patties which were fine. Biscuit is very similar to Kelly’s type biscuit. I did get a nauseous feeling after eating almost immediately so whatever oil they may have used in the eggs or potatoes did not agree with me. My friend tried one of the luncheon specials that day which was the beef tips with rice or you could have it with noodles too. I think hers may have had more rice than beef tips. There was some fat or gristle in there which I would have thought would not be in there. She had one chunk she put in her mouth while chatting which was all fat so she had to spit that out. For her side she got the carrot salad which is very finely ground not like the long julienne strips you may see at other places. She had iced tea which she said was good and I had water with lemon. My stomach was upset so I thought I would take a chance to try their banana pudding lol to share it with her. It comes in a plastic ToGo cup with the top which surprised me. It was not my favorite but my stomach settled after eating it. So that was good. I would say of this place, I do like the waitstaff. Although prior to her walking up she huffed when she saw us seated in her section. I don’t think she was having a good day. It’s not a place for fast service. It’s a place to chill and talk for a bit. We didn’t know until I asked for the check that we just go up to the register to be rung up. So I didn’t see the bill until after that point to input my tip. This place has a huge menu and a down home feel. It’s similar to Kelly’s. If the eggs had been made in butter instead of oil I would think it would be a slam dunk for breakfast. Just was not what I was hoping for. Also it is expensive and if you pay by CC you will be charged extra. I think they should show you the bill not just start ringing up the items so you can see it for yourself. For two of us including a 20% tip the bill was $43.
We always enjoy the food and service. Give them your business!
