I stayed here for two nights unexpectedly due to a snowstorm, as I wanted to avoid a 45-minute drive home. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. I was working a shift from 3:30 PM to midnight, and they kindly offered me a checkout time of 1:30 PM, which was fantastic. This allowed me to get some much-needed rest before heading back to work. The breakfast was fresh and delicious, far better than other H... View all feedback.
I stayed for 2 nights, 2 rooms with a few friends, First off, location of this hotel is perfect. Right next to almost everything in the area. Food, shopping right around the corner. Second, the room, hallways and lobby were a excellent presentation. To top it off the front desk staff were fantastic. Super kind and welcoming. All around a great place to stay, weather planned ahead or a last minute stop. This is a great stay.
The Hampton Inn in Altoona has everything I was looking for in a longer term stay. Good location, super clean, walk to places to eat, spacious rooms, free breakfast and ample parking. What sets this hotel apart from the others in this area are the welcoming and friendly staff. They have gone above and beyond to make me feel at home! Would highly recommend
If you're staying in Altoona then this hotel will give you a clean room, good service, and a fair rate. Kids loved the pool. Breakfast was solid. WiFi was strong.
Nice big lobby, hotel was clean and in a good area of town with lots of sit down restaurants as well as fast food nearby. Large shopping mall across the street. Cracker Barrel and Champs restaurants in the parking lot, so parking spaces were scarce close to entrance at dinner time(tons of other spots farther from entrance). Great breakfast, and very clean rooms. Hotel shows wear in hall carpeting and was disappointed at how small the fitness center was. Cardio machines piled next to each other, dumbbell stand with no bench to do a weight routine, and very little room for standing without getting in a person’s way. More like a large closet with equipments thrown in there.
Decent Breakfast, parking is tight due to the sports bar adjacent. The shower seemed a bit dingy, the room did not have USB outlets as other Hamptons offer.
