Steele Pier Hot Dogs - Altoona

Voted #1 for a good reason!. No blandness here. These guys are passionate about their product and refuse to kick out a 'assembly line-stock hot dog '. The taste alone satiates these guys from any hot dog in the area. And their sauce is steadily becoming a thing of legend. <br/ <br/ Their expertise isn 't limited to hot dogs,though. But they offer a variety of good food. This includes a ham sandwich that they call 'Gargantuan '. This is, simply, the best ham sandwich in the city, if not the entire region.<br/ <br/ These guys get it right, and they care enough about the customer to offer something that actually allows the taste buds to work. Give me a try and you will not be sorry. Everybody else needs to step up their game.......not their prices!

Best Hotdogs Ever. I love this place. So much better then Texas Hotdogs or Death Dogs from Sheetz. Great prices and super friendly staff. So good, I brought my mom here to try it.

Had some pretty good hotdogs here. Their special at the time was a heck of a deal! I really liked their fries, the sauce, and cheese. Would definitely come back. Had a weird environment though, felt like a grungy bar in the daytime.

OMG! Food is excellent. Thank you John for continuing your amazing recipe. I used to go over to the bar when you had it on 4th st. My parents used to go there. We lived right across the street! But even as a young kid I loved your food!

Nice little shop. Good size selection.. my kind of little sub sandwich shop. Brought my little girl here for a quick lunch. I Like a place that she can run and sit down at a table while I other. Feels safe.
