The food was delicious and we were greeted at the door with personality and pizzazz which is something you don't find much these days. The food was very good. Served in a short time after ordering. The sweet tea was very good as well. Prices are very reasonable and the portions are large. We'll definitely be back. Thanks a bunch!!! View all feedback.
What Melissa Jackowski doesn't like about Don Patron Altoona:
I stopped yesterday with my husband for lunch. We ordered and the food came out less than five minutes later. I should have known it was not fresh. Since lunch yesterday, I’ve been nauseous and sick. Beware next time I’ll go to Casa Valdez like I usually do. View all feedback.

Waitress is on top of things. She knows what we need before we ask. Food is AWESOME. Love the salsa they serve with the homemade chips (the chips are not what come out of a bag, which may or may not be to ones liking).
Rounding down from 2.5 stars. First, not at all food allergy friendly, nor did they make any effort to accommodate, or even address, a gluten allergy in the party. Do yourself a huge favor and skip this place if you have a food allergy. Second, food was so-so. The queso fundido appetizer was good, but the carne asada tacos were waaaay overcooked. The mixed fajitas were ok, but the special burrito was a miss. The margarita on the rocks was incredibly weak and bland. Finally, the service was barely there--indifferent and slow. With so may other choices near I-99 in Altoona and State College I would not return to Don Patron.
This place needs a sign for the road for out-of-towners ... had a terrible time finding it. Went to Chick-Fil-A instead.
