This is the best Mexican restaurant that I have been to in Colombia and in the Northern USA (I lived in Mexico and traveled extensively in Mexico). We split the nachos which were amazing. I know, you think nachos but each home made chip had art on it made with black refried beans, peppers and cheese (many places just smother it into something of a mess). Nos atendieron muy lento , se equivocaron en el pedido de una persona .regular, no me parece que lo que cobran se ajuste al servicio y a la comida que ofrecen
Adoro el Zócalo por motivos personales, allí fue el lugar en donde me cuadré en una relación que duré casi 11 años, cómo olvidar este lugar? Juan su dueño y administrador es absolutamente querido, la comida es deliciosa, es un sitio que definitivamente vale la pena visitar.
I started making El Zocalo my Thursday lunch place as it serves the best Mexican food in the area. I like the chicken burritos, tostadas, plato de la casa, and the vegetarian dishes. The corn tortillas are made fresh and I usually buy a dozen or so to go as I can't find anything as good in the stores, or other restaurants. The prices are reasonable and the beer is served in a chilled frosted mug. I think it's a great place to go for Mexican food in El Retiro.
