It is very stylish in 50s style, with kidney tables and old armchairs and a music chest and flashlights. A beautiful, spacious, sunny outdoor area with terrace and children's playground with artificial grass. A few days ago I was there with a small group of friends. The restaurant was very well visited between 4 pm and 5 pm, partly with tourists and day trips. The service personnel are recruited by the staff of the city of Altensteig. Unfortunately we were served only very hesitantly, there were long waiting times, the service was badly informed and uninspired and delivered first also a wrong cake for one of my friends. The composition of a drink offered could hardly be explained. We had to wait a long time for the bill and then it wasn't even right. Fortunately, we had a lot of time and patience. The cappuccino was pleasantly creamy and was served beautifully decorated. The fresh cake selection is limited, but nevertheless recommended. The raspberry cake tasted fruity, the lemon cake was not too sweet and only slightly creamy. The summer drinks were available with or without alcohol. They were made in stable, handy, semi-high glasses with lots of ice (I had something like Caipirinha, but with mango juice very refreshing and thirsty). A bit difficult is the way to the toilet in the town hall area. People with a lack of orientation can be lost here... For this, the localities are very clean and well maintained. Sometimes there are concerts, especially nice is the series Stubenmusik. Everything in a chic location that we would not have heard on this small Black Forest Square.
