You just don't run to this place except you know the location. Simply place the address in your GPS and drive, the owners are helpful, but it is better if you speak some German. The exterior seats are the classic long tables and benches. Just go to an open section, ask...if the space is available, and make some new friends. The owners do not speak English, but normally there is a customer or worker who can help translate. The food and food menus are only in Germany (no English translation subtitles). The beer (only a kind, no Miller Lite here, so don't even ask), is brewed from the same entrance as in 1300's. The beir is brewed on site (since 1300's) and served in classic stoneware cups. The beir will have a slightly bitter taste for the first pair taste, but is really good. And the price is great, only 2 euros per cup. Be careful, because it is strong (alcohol content) compared to others. Maybe at most two cups. The food is very good. You have all the classics. Go to the order window, place your order and within minutes your food is ready. Go there early if you want the roasted chicken (absolutely great). The outdoor beir garden has multi-layered lions of sitting, both in the shade and in the sun. The rest rooms are located on the Berigarten side of the building. There is a large playground for children with swings, slides, etc. The view is wonderful as the beirgarten is located at the top of a small hill overlooking the village of Reundorf. This is a good place to go with family, friends or business partners. Take a 15-minute drive from downtown Bamberg and experience a truly local beirgarten with locals that are wonderful and very pleasant.
