Nent Hall hotel would not suit everyone. It is in a gorgeous location surrounded by stunning scenery but the building is old and a bit tired. The staff were great, helpful, pleasant and keen to ensure the place ran smoothly. The room was comfortable though old fashioned and the shower over the bath was hot and powerful. Sadly the room smelt damp and the bathroom was in need of a refit. So if you want sleek, modern or high end then avoid Nent Hall but if, like me, you're comfortable with outdated, old fashioned and needing some input then you will fall in love with the place. I stayed here for 2 nights with my partner and was satisfied. I’d have happily stayed longer. The hotel is pretty much as described and has been maintained to a good standard. Our bedroom was a decent size with a comfortable bed and was perfectly quiet. The bathroom needs refreshing at some point but is more then adequate nothing to complain about. We had an evening meal in the pub which was a reasonable price and acceptable standard with a wide choice of dishes including veggie and GF. There was a full English breakfast included plus cereals and yogurts and fruit plus other cooked options including veggie. Some items had been cooked quite a while earlier so not the best but acceptable. This place is not perfect but I’ve read some rather unfair reviews. Lovely place, lots of character. Took my dog there for respite from fireworks over the bonfire weekend. Absolute peace and quiet.
