Reviews - Eggman's
Reviews summary
At this cozy, family-run diner breakfast is affordable and service unfailingly warm — staff are praised and regulars return for hash browns, cream of chicken soup and hearty skillets. The menu offers classic comfort fare and generous portions in a welcoming, homey atmosphere. However, food quality can be hit-or-miss: several patrons report excellent dishes while others experienced poorly prepared items and hygiene concerns. Ideal for locals and families seeking friendly service, but expect occasional inconsistency.

Me and my family always pass by this restaurant when visiting family in Illinois! But we decided to stop by on Sunday for breakfast! And the place is very welcoming, workers were quick to attend us and were very attentive. The food was amazing! I had their French toast twice!! Definitely been missing out on this great place!! And will be returning on our next visit!! View all feedback.

My sister and I went to this restaurant this morning and the Tex Mexican omelet was horrible and the All American Omlet was horrible as well the pancakes was hard and crumbled and burnt and the hash browns was cold and dry and the meat was spoiled and the silverware was dirty and the syrup was weak and water down. I wouldn't recommend eating there again. Food: 1

Great place to visit. George, the owner, is soo hilarious and personable. Server Susan is the BEST. The other servers are Great as well. Amelia, Debbie and Kathy. My favorite meal there is breakfast. Grilled chicken breast, eggs w/ cheddar, hash browns and peaches.
This place is clean, food is great and it just a welcoming restaurant to eat at, I highly recommend this place.
The folks here were very kind and friendly, I actually ended up coming back because they missed a pancake but they were on it as soon as I came back. I actually didnt eat the food as I bought it for someone else but they seemed to enjoy it (would be 5 if I actually ate the food). I will definitely come back, its a cool diner feel so next time Ill dine in!
I recently went with my husband because he always wanted to stop there… Even though the parking lot was packed, we did not have to wait to be seated… The staff was pleasant, and nicely decorated for Valentines Day… We sat in the booth seat, but seats where rather close to the table, so if your a “big person” you might have to squeeze in and out… The silverware that was pre-set was used… coffee stains where on napkins, we requested clean silverware with a problem… We started off with cream of chicken soup… The soup was not good… It’s was basically a can of cream of chicken and rice soup… Tasteless, no chicken, over cook bits of rice, and flavorless… I requested a roll, and received a prepackaged, cold and hard roll… I ordered the Broder Skillet with Pancakes My husband had the Seafood Omelette with pancakes…. As we waited for our food… I began to notice that the hot sauce bottle was old because the label was damn near transparent but filled to the rim… Which tells me that the reuse and refill their condiment bottles… The syrup bottle and ketchup was the same… Our food came quickly and was hot… Looking delicious… However it was not… My skillet was flavorless… Not one bit of seasoning was used in preparing the dish… my husband omelette was alright, again flavorless not taste of salt, pepper, nor butter… I never touched the pancakes… But as I always do, I pay, tip and leave… leftover usually ends up in the garbage… But never go back…

There’s so much to love about this place! The host was welcoming, and the server was friendly and did a great job explaining the many menu options. Plus, everyone gets complimentary soup! My food arrived just six minutes after I ordered, and since I made some adjustments, I knew it was fresh and made just for me. They also offer flavored creamers for the coffee. Enjoy your visit!
This is a wonderful breakfast spot with exceptional service. I enjoyed a delicious omelet while my husband opted for the three-egg special. The coffee was also excellent. We frequently dine here after taking a stroll around the Swap-O-Rama market located just down the street.
The soup is excellent (now I had the cream of chicken rice) I had the Broccoli Alfredo and that was delicious (and you can really taste the Broccoli). Someone with me had the liver and onions and said it was wonderful. Others had traditional breakfast and skillets and they said they were amazing. Can't wait to go back and try other entrees.
Friendly people, service was good, breakfast was great, pancakes were light and fluffy, my husband had a Philadelphia Omelet, wheat toast and water.
