Allgauer's - Alsip

The breakfast buffet at this Hampton Inn falls significantly short of expectations. The cleanliness is lacking, with surfaces appearing dirty and sticky, and there are no safety precautions in place. There are no tongs available for bread or pastries, making it a questionable experience overall. Additionally, the service was almost nonexistent, as the staff appeared more interested in talking among themselves than in attending to guests or clearing plates. This breakfast should honestly be complimentary, as it does not align with Hilton's standards, let alone those of a DoubleTree. I would strongly advise steering clear of this establishment.

The restaurant and its nearby lounge offer a cozy atmosphere, although the menu is somewhat limited. Nevertheless, the food was satisfying. While it wasn't remarkable or particularly unforgettable compared to other dining options, it was flavorful, and the service was delivered by genuinely friendly staff. Juan, in particular, was an outstanding employee; he treated me like royalty and went above and beyond to make sure I had a great experience. His impressive memory and delightful personality really enhanced my visit. I hope to see him again on my next trip to Chicago.

We enjoyed our first Easter brunch at this restaurant, and we were very impressed with how well everything was organized. Our food arrived quickly, and the dishes were promptly refilled when they were getting low. The waitstaff was attentive, checking in on us regularly, which was great. The food was delicious and offered a wonderful selection of choices. We would certainly come back next Easter!
