Reviews summary
In a recent roundup of experiences at a local eatery, reviews revealed a mixed bag of impressions. While many guests praised the generous portions, friendly staff, and delicious dishes like perfectly cooked steaks and vibrant tapas, others faced disappointments with subpar food quality, particularly fish and chips, and slower service during busy times. Some diners noted improvements needed in service training, while others still appreciated thoughtful gestures like complimentary coffees. Overall, the restaurant holds a good reputation, with memorable meals and a cozy atmosphere, though consistency in food quality and attentiveness remains a concern for some patrons.

What Caroline Feneley dislikes about Caster's:
The quality of the food was disappointing, as the fish tasted spoiled and the chips were overcooked, with a particularly unappetizing one served on the plate. This experience has deterred me from returning, despite having enjoyed previous meals. The waiter's response to my complaint about the fish was unhelpful; it seemed like some training is needed. We had breakfast on Saturday morning. we were there one before the personal order our drinks. we sat there watching our latte go cold on the bar before they brought to us..that was nice..and my poached ei perfect but service and cold latte took the kindness of the experience
My 2nd time at Casters and they didn't disappoint. This time had the tapas menu, the food was delicious the service was also excellent
I had a fantastic experience during my first visit to this restaurant. The service was excellent, with pleasant and friendly staff. I tried the tapas and it was delicious and very filling.
Went for Sunday lunch and had a nice time. the food was very good, but the waiting time left a little to wish. the restaurant was quite full. we had to wait long for our head, but we had our granddaughter with us so it didn't seem so long. the casters were great with our baby and delivered something if they were asked for them.

I have dined at this restaurant a few times in the past, but on this occasion, there were some issues with the food. The first course was decent, but the main course of fish and chips was disappointing. The fish was overcooked, the batter was dark, and the thin end of the fish was burned into the batter. For dessert, I ordered sticky toffee pudding with custard, but the pudding was served cold and the custard was also cold, so I had to send it back. This was surprising as the food at this restaurant has always been excellent in the past.
