Basic and old fashioned but economical. Excellent situation in centre of town. Didn’t eat there but used it as a base to explore the area and it served it’s purpose.
Do you want to wait an hour to even get a menu ? Do you want to be ice cold at the table ? Do you want cold meat , flat cooked rice and a high price ? Than this is your place ! Understaffed place to the max... All the meat and embutidos are supermarket bought , nothing is fresh. I do not really write reviews but i had to for this place because it is a joke. Take my word avoid it :
The restaurant itself is quite pleasant and we had a seat overlooking the street below but the food was poor and so was the service. The menu is quite limited to start with only half a dozen different starters , mains etc so I was surprised to find that the 2 dishes I had picked weren't available, especially since the restaurant had only just opened for the evening and we were among the first customers. Maybe I should have taken this as a bad omen and left but we were starving by this point so I just chose again. Our starters came fairly quickly but we ended up waiting nearly and hour for our main courses while other tables who came in after had been served both starters and mains. I can put up with bad service if the food is ok but unfortunately the food was terrible. My fish was all dried up and my husband had ordered the chorizo which turned out to be simply sausage and chips and wasn't great either.
We settled here despite bad reviews because it was late and we had hungry kids!! The waiter offered to change the kid's menu for us: he substituted the sausage for chicken. Four kids, four plates of chicken, pasta, and fries were just perfect and delicious! Chicken was a thigh and leg, cooked so it was falling off the bone. The service was fast, too. And the outside patio was delightful. The salads were okay, and the paella would have taken too long, so we really only had one dish. The adult chicken came with a roasted pepper--yummy! Sangria was also a winner. : A bonus was a few cute kittens running around.
