Best Mexican in Alpine. Other local contenders are less reliably good as Marieta's in so far as quality of food, service, and portion size consistency. This is my best objective take of all Mexican food offerings in Alpine that I've visited. Do not bother eating here if you want to substitute anything differently than the way it is described on the menu. While the food we eventually got tasted somewhat decent, trying to get it was horrible. The service was attentive and friendly, although it wasn't without its minor faults, so I would rate it a solid 4 out of 5. The atmosphere was delightful; it had a warm and inviting ambiance that really enhanced the experience, deserving another 5 out of 5. Overall, I highly recommend this place for a lovely dinner!

I highly recommend trying the Chips and Salsa as well as the Surf and Turf!
As a result, I ended up ordering food to go after being told we would be asked to leave, even if we started eating before reaching the two-hour limit. The entire situation surrounding the service fee was confusing and frustrating. The only reason I left a tip was due to the attentiveness of our waitstaff; however, this experience left me feeling quite unsatisfied. Food: 3 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 1
