Nestled in a vibrant area, this restaurant offers a mix of sushi and Chinese cuisine that has garnered mixed reviews. While some patrons rave about the extensive lunch specials and recommend standout dishes like Teriyaki Chicken and the famed salmon roll, others have faced disappointing experiences with food quality and service. Reports of poorly executed sushi, uneven service during busy hours, and a lack of attentiveness have left some diners hesitant to return. However, the welcoming atmosphere and fair pricing keep loyal customers coming back for more, making it a spot worth considering for those in the area.

This sushi restaurant also offers delicious Chinese cuisine. Their lunch menu is great, with specials from 11-3 every day, including weekends. The service is excellent and it is my go-to spot when I am in Alpine. They have plenty of parking available, including wheelchair accessibility. The prices range from $10-20 per person for lunch. What Elvia Cortes dislikes about Alpine Sushi Grill:
Will NEVER NEVER come here again!!! I remember when they first opened and it was great food. Now it’s the worst food ever. How can a cook screw up chicken teriyaki???? The place looks unkept. Staff on their phones. Sad because only restaurant in Alpine. Alpine needs another sushi restaurant to bring in some competition. They would kill it. View all feedback.

I have been a regular customer at this restaurant since it first opened. Unfortunately, I have noticed a decline in quality over the years. The service is consistently poor, with young employees wearing casual clothing and neglecting their duties. The cleaning supplies are haphazardly stored against the wall, and the back room is uncomfortably hot with old swamp coolers that are rarely operational. The food is below average, often tasting fishy. On my most recent visit, my daughter and I were disappointed with our sushi and drinks. The fried roll was overcooked, the tai teas were spoiled, and the server seemed to be under the influence. I have always been generous with my tips, but the overall experience has been consistently disappointing. I believe that the lack of quality can be attributed to poor management. The owner, who I assume is cheap, would often bring her children to the restaurant during her shift, allowing them to spend hours on their tablets at the sushi bar. Overall, I cannot recommend this restaurant. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

The restaurant was just okay, not terrible but also not amazing. The quality of the fish in the nigiri was mediocre, some pieces were decent but others tasted a bit fishy. The nigiri was oddly formed and the rice easily separated from the fish. My wife thought her roll was okay, but she didn't like the flavor of the Miso soup or the sauce on the garlic edamame. The service was okay but a bit awkward, with some strange comments and lack of attentiveness. Overall, we probably won't be returning as the prices were fair for the portion sizes. It was a fair experience, not great but not terrible. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $30–50 Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3

Ok. Hear me out. Sushi in Alpine. Been going here for years. Small place, good sushi, good service. Tuna tacos appetizer is fantastic. My fav roll is the Sexy Roll. Really great garlic edamame. Give it a try! Staff are always great. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner
