When I had originally booked I requested the large table for 10 near the entrance of the restaurant when we arrived we were taken upstairs to a large table I had received no communication prior to advise or ask if this would be suitable. I've been to this restaurant three times in 2022, and I have to say, this visit was very disappointing. The service was lacking, and the food was underwhelming. The appetizers were served alongside the main dishes, and the diners received their meals at different times, leading to significant wait times. Overall, the meal was quite ordinary. Food was great, but that was where it stopped. Another booking was made in their system close to ours we were told we would have to move either to the bar or a table outside instead of putting that booking outside this wasn’t our fault. We watched tables that were there before us still sitting there comfortably enjoying their night when we left. So we rushed our food left early extremely disappointing amateurish.
We Visited Alphington social on a quiet night. Food and service just lacked that spark you get with a busy night. Overall we enjoyed the night . Worth another vist.
