We love the Velvet Note! The ambience is cozy, and all seats are great seats! I love the smell of food that penetrates the room, but the ingenious music makes it a wonderful night! View all feedback.
What Trenton Sicola (Featuring) doesn't like about The Velvet Note:
I can no longer endorse this venue, as too many fellow musicians have gone unpaid after performing here. It is unfortunate, but I must support my fellow musicians. View all feedback.
I had a great time there last night. The live jazz band was great! The space is very cozy. Its a nice date spot. They use plastic utensils and plates which were nice. The shrimp and grits were really good! Definitely worth the money. The alcoholic beverages were very good too! I was impressed with the food, drinks and entertainment.
I recently had the honor to perform at The Velvet Note for an annual Steely Jam and let me say that Ms Tamara was a gracious hostess and made us feel like honored guests. There isn't a bad seat in the house. The food is exquisite and the atmosphere is cozy and relaxing. I was excited to learn that our performance was live streamed and could be viewed on YouTube. I can't wait to return as a performer and a patron. Be sure to be added to the email list to get first dibs on the top notch acts that perform here regularly.
What a hidden gem! We had a wonderful time! The atmosphere was indeed like sitting in a friends living room. The entertainment was enjoyable with the jazz and blues and a soothing sound. But the food! Oh my, the food! I can't say enough good about it! The Chocolate Bread Pudding is a must! If you are ever in the area and you want a romantic and cozy date night, (or not) do yourself a favor and visit this hidden gem. We will return, even if it is a 6 hr drive. We loved it!
Date night for the grown and sexy with a 5star menu. It's a through the looking glass kinda feel. From the outside it appears to be a bright sunny sandwich shop, but you step inside to a whole new world. You'll be fully immersed in the sound and atmosphere.
Last night we had the pleasure of watching a Hidden Jewel in Atlanta. We were there to see Saunders but we were blessed to hear a voice from another Time and place. All that we know is that her name was Ms. Rita. This lady has the voice that flows with every instrument on stage. She only sang one song, but the audience wanted more. My husband was trying to pay our tab, and I think it was the last song. This lady went from a Sultry Mellow tone to sounding exactly like Mahalia Jackson and Louis Armstrong. Oh and let's not forget she sings without a microphone. I'm sorry for this being about her, but we can't stop talking about the experience. Thank you Velvet Note. You should include her in next months celebration..Add her and you won't be standing in that spot alone. Monica Devin
