we took my wife and a group of close friends for her birthday party. it was our first time in ocean acre and everything was fabulous. the food was prepared wonderfully and very tasty. the waitress was very friendly and knowing and she has constantly checked us to make sure we didn't need anything. I will be back and I highly recommend this place. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Ocean Acre:
The sauces are too salty, and the overcooked whipped potatoes were lumpy. The server was a bit off-putting. This place could really benefit from being taken over by a better restaurant. View all feedback.
The front door hostess and server (Alex) were exceptional. Will be returning
Excellent meal in a very comfortable setting. I will be back!
Oysters were good for a restaurant not near the coast. Time for bar service was atrocious. Other food was average/slightly above average but certainly not worth the prices they're charging.

We had a reservation and were sat almost immediately. Then things got a little iffy. It took about 15 minutes to get my drink from the bar. We ordered two appetizers, the hush puppies and the calamari. For our entrees, I ordered the lobster bisque and the grilled twin lobster tail dinner. My husband ordered the fish and chips. 20 minutes before my bisque came out. Finished my soup, still no appetizers. Poor Mya was running ragged but my husband snagged her to ask about the appetizers. Mya offered to cancel but I asked that we still get the hush puppies. No sooner did she walk away that our entrees came out (about an an hour and fifteen into our visit). They were tasty but my mashed potatoes were room temp and the fish and chips seemed a very small portion. The hush puppies were yummy but expensive for how few you get (I had a "basket "of hush puppies in my head and the app came with maybe 8? for $9). And absolutely NOT the fault of the restaurant but there was a group of 10 middle-aged adults sitting in the corner of our room that were UNGODLY loud. It was insult to injury. Overall I 'd say the restaurant is very pretty, food is tasty, and the staff was super friendly. But on the downside it was chaotic, kitchen was incredibly slow, and loud in my experience. Maybe just an off night.
