The food was fantastic, the service was outstanding, and the atmosphere had that quintessential midtown vibe without the hassle of going there! We will definitely be returning soon. View all feedback.
What Jill B dislikes about Bite Bistro:
I’m really not sure if this place is good or not! I’ve been there twice now, once for lunch and once for dinner, during their stated business hours. Their voicemail confirms they’re open, and the sign on the door says the same, but both times the doors were locked. The windows are mirrored, so I couldn’t see if the lights were on inside. I also tried calling, but no one answered. So, are they open or not?! I don't th... View all feedback.
It is amazing, the food is like no other around, the staff is very attentive and friendly. The restaurant is very pretty inside! I recommend it.
Stopped in for my lunch break, and will certainly be back. Firstly, they are following COVID precautions, and their present dine in setup in includes both indoor and outdoor distanced seating. Staff wears masks (and you should too, when you're not seated at your table with your fellow party members! Server was very friendly and attentive. Didn't catch the name, unfortunately. I initially ordered the portobello sandwich with an additional side of green salad; shortly after, the server let me know that their produce delivery hadn't arrived yet, and that the portobello sandwich wouldn't be possible, but let me know that they'd be comping me the salad on the house. I ordered the caprese flatbread instead, and I loved it! The balsamic reduction was extra sweet, which normally isn't my thing, but the ultra sweetness was a lovely contrast to the fresh basil flavors. The salad was perfectly dressed. I also ordered two cocktails The Dagwood, and their Lavender French 75. Nothing to write home about, and kind of just what I expect from a bistro setting, but they were fine. Seems they didn't short me on the alcohol ratio though, so I'll be back for another work pick me up in the future!
Bite is probably the closest sit down restaurant to my house (besides Taco Mac across the way), and after all these years, I had never went. My biggest regret is not coming here sooner. My biggest thing now is now I am back in town, I am doing my best to explore Alpharetta. Before I moved, I spent all of my time exploring Atlanta, so I never gave the burbs the time of the day. I am starting to see I have missed out on a lot of solid places, including Bite. My mom and I went last Wednesday night to go check the scene. She didn't want to get dressed up (I told her not to fear, I was wearing my hoodie and Falcons flip flops). I told her I don't think we need to worry. We pulled up and noticed it had a nice little patio (I honestly think that was the first time I had ever pulled into that shopping plaza), and walked right in. It was a cozy and intimate atmosphere, but ended up being pretty casual. I think taking a cougar here would be a hit... We sat in the corner, next to a couple with a lady wearing gym pants- so I told mom don't worry LOL. It seemed like for the most part the menu is the same as it was online- which was good to know. There is also a wine and cocktail book. Beers were limited- and had only 2 on draft, one of them being Dogfish Head IPA for $8. I found that to be a little pricey, but I got it anyways. For a starter, we got the hog toes, which were pimento stuffed fried peppers with a bacon jam. My mom really liked them, I thought they were pretty solid. Another thing I noticed during this time, the hostess would come around and keep the waters flowing- which was nice. For the main, I got the burger, as I hear it is pretty popular in the area- some say even the best in the burbs. For $14, that wasn't a bad price to find out. I did order it without the lettuce and tomato. Mom got a chicken dish that looked pretty solid too. The food came out, and I was pretty excited. The fries it came with were pretty good. The burger itself, was pretty tasty too. It was very filling too. I would say it makes my top 10 I have ever had anywhere- probably rank it 3-4 in Atlanta. I actually prefer it over Bocado too (my favorite in Atlanta is still H&F's at the Peachtree location). The fries, were alright, but not as good as the burger, so that is why I don't rank it higher. I would also not suggest eating anything before it, it is a beast for a double. I had kept reading about this million dollar cake, and so after dinner, I was going to order some dessert. I thought it was weird the check was brought out to us right after eating... I then asked about dessert and then she (the server) told us about our options- 3 different types of cake made from Alpine Bakery- the million dollar cake, a white chocolate mousse, and a cheesecake topped with an apple crumble- for $7 a slice. HUGE portions, FYI. I got the cheesecake and I tell you what, it was one of the best I have had. People kept staring at our desserts- I should have charged them to look at it. This was a pretty solid place- the only qualms I had were the beer selection (and pricing) and the getting the check prematurely. Other than that, I really liked this place- glad to have finally tried it.
Great place for special occasion and date night and for groups celebrating big milestone birthdays! Ambience is intimate with dim lighting; they also have a nice semi private area which was perfect for our party of 10. Food and service were excellent. We had wine and flatbreads to start, and then a pre set menu with choice of soup or salad, and then 3 dinner options. FLATBREADS We tried three and they were all very good. My absolute favorite was the Fig Prosciutto $11 which had mascarpone/fig/prosciutto/arugula/pickled onions/balsamic syrup ... if you love sweet/salty, you will love this. Also enjoyed the Smoked Chicken $12 which had house bbq sauce/roasted poblano/pico de gallo/smoked gouda/cilanto/cotija cheese. The other one we tried was the Caprese $11 , with pesto/fresh mozzarella/spinach/glazed tomato/pomegranate syrup PEACH BLEU SALAD $8 We had a choice of soup or salad I was leaning toward the salad but still asked the server for her recommendation. She said salad and I 'm so glad I listened so good, very light and great portion too. Salad had organic spring mix/local peaches/candied pecans/bleu cheese/honey dijon vinaigrette. Another great sweet/salty option .... I could 've eaten this salad for dessert too. It was that good : SMOKED CHICKEN SHRIMP GRITS $20 I asked the server for her recommendation on the entrees too she said shrimp grits b/c it 's their signature dish; glad I listened to her again : This version was different w/ the green egg smoked free bird farms chicken usually sausage , served w/ stone ground grits/red pepper pico/bacon/cilantro. SHORT RIB TORCHETTI $22 I tried a bite of this dish too oh this was very good too. Served with cipollini onion/wild mushroom/balsamic glazed tomato/arugula/marsala demi. It kinda reminded me of a beef stew with pasta perfect comfort food during cold weather. I 'd order this next time. CHILEAN SALMON I was fortunate to sit next to people who ordered the other two dishes, and fortunate they let me try their food : I 'd heard of Chilean Seabass but not Chilean Salmon fish was very good too, and served w/ spaghetti squash. Overall, really great dinner and the whole dining experience was superb. I 'm pretty sure everyone in the group will make return visits for sure.
