We had a... read more We’ve stayed in Almuñecar on various occasions, we have dined in this restaurant twice. The food and service provided is excellent and so was the wine. We had a selection of dishes and all were tasty and lovely, homemade pate prawns i a creamy sauce and many other dishes which I can’t recall. I honestly can’t believe some of the negative reviews provided in this app, I’m sure this comes from neighbouring restaurants who envy there popularity! Definitely going back.

They had run out of solomillo, so we chan... read more We ordered a solomillo on stone with a side salat, french fries and the waiter suggested a bottle of their house wine. They had run out of solomillo, so we changed to an entrecote after the waiter had assured us that their was nearly no fat on their entrecotes. The entrecotes were full of fat and greasy parts. The salad was prepared without much attention, just some chuncks of salad throw on a plate. The french fries were soaked in oil and not well fried. The wine was a very, very cheap Rioja, not good at all. But the biggest surprise still had to come : we did not ask for the price of the house wine, as we know what most restaurants charge in and around Almunecar. Here they charged us 18 Euros for the bottle I guess they are not paying more than 2 Euros for a bottle, so that is a very nice profit ... All by all low quality and far too expensive. A place we surely never will go back.
