Was GloucestertilIdie at Cafe Califa a mag?
Always popular and Sunday morning breakfast time was no exception. A decent stab at a not-quite full English breakfast with toast and coffee (could have done with tea! was good value. A very pleasant spot beloved by locals and the British visitors. View all feedback.

What Grumpy54321 dislikes about Cafe Califa:
This was pretty much the only overwhelming poor experience of a week of eating out in La Herradura. The staff were miserable and the food was worse. Avocado toast was a thin sliver of paste when everywhere else is serving freshly mashed avo. Avoid at all costs there is so much better here View all feedback.

Having taken the bus from Nerja we just stumbled across this cafe and went in because it was busy with Spanish people. I had coffee and churros, which I wanted to try before going home costing 3 euros. Hubbie had croissant with ham and cheese and coffee for just under 4 euros. Looking at the menu later I should have tried the avocado and tuna toastie for 1.90 euros. Looking over the beach this is obviously a popular choice for local people to have breakfast.

I ordered a chicken BLT and I honestly don’t know what they used but I don’t think it was chicken. Or if it actually was it’s certainly not like any chicken I’ve experienced before. I would actually say this meal was inedible, certainly the worst of the holiday (everyone else’s meals weren’t as bad as mine however we all left with the same opinion). Would not recommend
