El Rocio is cold on a February night with few obvious dining options , La Rocina was a welcome surprise. A good menu with most dishes offered as half or full raciones and plenty to choose from some excellent fried fish as well as a classic ham, fried eggs and chips. Very cheerful waiter who kept a careful eye on us, topping up our wine and bringing our next choice as we cleared our dishes rather than leaving everything at once. Part way through the evening some locals broke into a classic Andaluz lament gave it all a great atmosphere.

Pretty basic restaurant much frequented by local people and sensibly priced food and wine. Not exactly haute cuisine, but the pork and mustard we had was excellent, the meat very good indeed. Not fancy, but very nice.

Last of three restaurants on our visit to El Rocio and probably the best. On the side of a large square you can watch the world go by. The food was very good with a large menu that we were sceptical of at first but the quality was high. We had half rack ones of octopus Gallega and grilled squid both of which were excellent. I had some Iberian pork and my wife had the local fish Covina- again very good. A bottle of Ribiera and a beer- 61 euros. Recommended

We thought it was not very welcoming when we first walked in. We had been traveling, just looking for short trips from Sevilla and took the recommendation of a friend. Aparetly el rocio es a place most visit during holidays and weekends. We went during the week which was empty. The restaurant turned out to be great, the waiter was friendly made some suggestions all were very good. The service was great and the food reasonable. Would recommend

Recommended by a local this restaurant did not live up to expectations. Most items on the large and extensive menu were either not available or available only by pre-ordering. My wife and I were embarrassed by our lack of Spanish but every waiter in the world knows that vino is wine, so why were we brought two glasses of beer! We both had the spicy soup made from pork broth but this tasted more like the washing up water from the saucepan the pork was cooked in. My Iberian pork stew was OK, but I can do a lot better at home. My wife having been put off by the non availability of everything, along with the hovering waiter, wasn't going to have anything else but I persuaded her to go for the plate of large gambas. We were warned that all the best fish and seafood had been sent to the fiesta in Seville but these were the smallest and bland shrimp I haver seen and the bed of lettuce they were served on was so salty it was uneatable. We could not get away fast enough and paying 51€ for that was just short of scandalous.
