La Viuda - Almodóvar del Río

We had a delicious tapas type lunch at this little local restaurant. We were 5 people and we all agreed it was excellent, simple but top quality. Locals were very happy to see us, staff were attentive and very friendly. Delicious home made ice cream which is rare to find in Spain and they presented some liqueurs in viles /science lab glasses with some sweets which was fun and inventive. We were thrilled to find such a nice place and friendly welcome. Beautiful castle to visit and work off your lunch thereafter.

We had lunch with our daugthers in this very good restaurant. We enjoyed the croquetas with jamon, the salmolejo and the fish of the day. Very generous food and home made ! The desserts were excellent (chocolate fondant and apple pie with less sugar but very tasty ! . Very nice wines as well. We recommand this restaurant.

This place is sis so good for a delicious home cooked meal. Had the risotto and it was possibly the best ever I had, freshly made and so full of flavour. The cheeks were a hit as well and don’t forget to write your review on the wall !

A very nice place to eat. the waiter is super friendly. All the food is homemade. the croquettes are especially good and the other dishes we also ask for very rich. they put chuches with liquor. Of course, I recommend you do the river.
