There were 3 of us... read more We saw this restaurant open (even though it says closed online) and waited at the front for 15 minutes and none of the staff acknowledged us. There were 3 of us so you couldn’t miss us but the waiter kept walking by and ignoring us. Finally we went inside and the other waitress mumbled something about being full and she couldn’t help us. Completely rubbish service and I won’t be going there again.

The interio... read more We were 4 that went for dinner and we were very satisfied with the food as well as the service. The food is well done and the portions are very big. The interior is nicely decorated and the service is very friendly. The price not being one of the cheapest restaurants in the area is in accordance with the quality of the food. We had 2x açorda de marisco , 1x pato de cabidela and 1 x carapaus grilhados , we also had 3 puddings as well as drinks and coffee and the total came to 60€ already with the tip.

The fish grilled to perfection and my husband had what he said was the best steak this year it was also enormous! Great value for both, I can really recommend it, we will be going again. The second time the fish equally perfect and the veal in Porto sauce was super tasty. No issue regarding social distance, everything is spaced out. Lovely staff as well.

This spot has used the pandemic to... read more In Charneca, it’s easy to find good food, but not easy to find a nice ambiance when sitting next to the busy Rua Pedro Costa. This spot has used the pandemic to its advantage as, according to the owner, the chef got bored from the closure and decided to plant his own garden from which to make the restaurant more sustainable. And it worked. The tomato vines and strawberry bushed shield your view from the street as you sit in the shade of a large umbrella munching away at your fish of the day or simply sipping your meia de leite. Highly recommended for lunch away from the bustling beach.
