Was Anonym at Tasca Do Paulinho a mag?
The staff is typical Portuguese and very friendly. Paulinho, the owner, is easy going and funny. The food is super exceptional. Choco Fritois perfectly seasoned and cooked. The best so far. The tempura green beans are a great addition. Also, Paulinho prepares his sardines in a tomato sauce. A nice treat. Love the mushrooms here too. His wines are above average and not the usual wines. What Anonym dislikes about Tasca Do Paulinho:
This restaurante/bar could be a lot better. Been here for a quick snack and a drink with wife and friends. At first we thought this was a good idea. To be thruthfull it is a pleasant place to be and the drinks and food are good, hence the fact I am giving it 3 stars. So why not 5 stars? The service, it took ages to get anything to the table. I do understand they do everything on the spot which is amazing, but they do... View all feedback.

I do understand they do everything on the spot which is amazing, but they don't have enough staff to handle busy times. My nachos were a really good portion and tasty, but by the time they arrived at the table they were a bit cold alrady. Give it a try but don't raise your expectations to high.

La Tasca do Paulinho, a simple and nice little restaurant in Rua Cândido dos Reis 96 in Almada. The boss speaks English and understands French. A simple menu and good Portuguese dishes. Go for it !

Along this pedestrian zone there are many restaurants to choose from: many are traditional Portuguese seafood places, but there are a few more modern, new ones such as this one. Interior is a clean, modern, hip environment functional, but pleasant, outside more traditional tables and chairs under umbrellas. Their speciality is a piadina (an Italian type of wrap but there are many other options on the menu. The starter I had, of oven baked goats cheese with honey and wallnuts was particularly good (and filling! and the piadina was delicious. The service stood out very personal and friendly, making me (dining by myself very welcome. Of the various restaurants I experienced in my week in Lisbon, this one stood out the whole experience was simply pleasant, with good food, decent prices, and great service.
