In the middle of the main street, this is one of the only restaurants that served quality authentic food for a great price. The soup was really tasty, and the bread was out of this world. It is also one of the only places that vegetarians can find a great meal. Needless to say, we ate lunch there every day.
This is a very unique place where you can eat Pao com chouriço, pastéis de bacalhau, sopa de caldo verde, etc.... As usual, it highly ranked by the locals ; Quality is awesome!!
Nothing is more portuguese than a bowl of Caldo Verde (typical soup) and a bread with chourizo. You really have to try it! Best at the end of a hot summer beach day!
For a simple Portuguese meal; this offers fresh bread out of the oven with meat inside and a bowl of soup and drink for under 6 euros.
If your budget is low, the Merendeira is a good place to go. For only 5,95 € they serve their Merendeira menu that gives you a Caldo Verde soup, a sandwich with sausage in it, some creamy milk rice dish for desert plus a drink and an espresso. In my home country Sweden you might get the sandwich for that price but nothing more. So this is good, the ladies working there are friendly and hard-working and it is on the main street of Costa da Caparica. But it s not really a restaurant, more like a better fast food place.
