Was Bettie Bergstrom at La Grangee a mag?
A food experience, interestion selection of flavours, very artistic. Sadly no attmospere. A little expensive for a meal out. Would of liked more attention for the cost. View all feedback.

A wonderful surprise in the Middle of Nowhere! The language is a bit of a problem but the menu isn’t

Châtillon en Bazois is a pretty town on the Canal du Nivernais, and 3kms away is a little tiny village called Alluy. There is a just a hairdresser, bakery and church here ....AND the most amazing French fine dining restaurant you could hope to find in regional France!!!! Rode our bikes from Châtillon, along the tow path beside the canal to this pretty village and restaurant, to be gobsmacked at the incredible food, wine, presentation and service we received. Did I mention the food and wine??? Unbelievable. All local produce and beyond delicious. You must book, as they only do 20 covers a night, and they are closed Mondays and Tuesdays. Set your itinerary around your reservation here you WILL NOT be disappointed!!

We visited La grange on the recommendation of friends- previously we had thought that the menu was too limited... But how wrong we were! The menu with just a couple of choices for starters and main course meant that what was presented to us had the care and attention of a dedicated chef! The combination of dishes was just perfect, and coupled with friendly service and reasonable prices a truly memorable experience. We look forward to our next visit.

My brother and sister-in-law took me and my husband to this restaurant to celebrate my birthday. We had the set menu at 39 euros per person, which consisted of an aperitif, amuse Bouche, starter, main and dessert. The presentation was beautiful and the flavours fantastic. The wine was lovely and smooth. The service was excellent, we were made to feel very welcome. I would recommend this restaurant to anybody, it is a hidden gem in rural France.
