What Asti doesn't like about Restaurant Landhus:
The food was very good, but we had to wait a full 2 hours for the food. During these 2 hours, neither the boss nor anyone from the service staff came to our table to explain the waiting time and apologize. When we asked after 1 3/4 hours whether we had been forgotten, the waiter only gave a grumpy answer: Certainly not ! Since I grew up in the hospitality industry, it is clear to me that something can always happen a... View all feedback.
It's very cozy there on the first floor in the hall. Staff is very friendly.
A very nice innkeeper who even calls back outside of his opening hours to take the reservation. So I got to know the beautiful restaurant with great service staff. Enjoyed the excellent food for the holidays would you like to come again?
Cosy and traditional restaurant in Allschwil old town in 200y old traditional building (timber frame house, rigeluus in swiss german) with lots of swiss traditional menu options, very friendly staff
Raclette Burger, Kalbsgeschnetzeltes; Läberli Madeira mit Röschti, Cordonbleu. Hat allen sehr geschmeckt war lecker. Service hat tipp topp geklappt!
This restaurant is inside one of the small town 's very old timber frame houses; a most quaint location in an already impossibly picturesque old village center that has won prizes as a National Heritage site. The rooms are small and the ceilings lined with dark and genuine wooden beams that are obviously very old and weathered no fear though, the building has been carefully and authentically restaured and renovated. We were there with a group of 13 no bad luck there; we were seated in one of the separate rooms, feeling as if we had been dropped into a film studio decked out for a historical movie of feudal times; heavy antique cabinets in the entrance area, sturdy wooden doors with handcrafted door handles, old black and white photographs of street scenes in the village in the Good Old Times. So much for the setting rustic and quaint, cosy and comfortable, at the same time stylish and tasteful. Our server was friendly; just a tiny bit chaotic, running forward and back around our large table with a distinct lack of strategy which would have saved her some legwork but in the end everybody had what they had ordered. The food was very taste, in plentiful portions. Quite a few of our group chose a game dish 'tis the Season , and they all pronounced it delicious which I can confirm, having pilfered some from my husband 's plate. My own hash browns with vegetables were very good as well. A very nice place with loads of old time atmosphere which I can highly recommend. Ok, it 's expensive, but that goes with the territory, as in literally: par for the course in Switzerland.
