The chicken dishes were absolutely delightful. The mushroom chow mein was good as well, but it could have used some pears or water chestnuts for added flavor. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place. The prices are quite reasonable, and the staff is very friendly. View all feedback.
What Kenzie Wise doesn't like about New 8:
After 2 and a half hours of waiting and they wouldn't pick up the phone, the sauce was slimey like snot from a nose the salt and chilli chicken had no flavour was dry and hard the pancake roll was covered in grease, the noodles was tasteless. We started getting our food from here a few months ago and glad we made the change. We have never had a bad meal and will definitely keep going back.
Despite the mixed reviews I decided to go and see for myself the food was very good nice portion size staff the girl was friendly and waiting time was to be expected as I walked in without phoning ahead yeah I will be back here Service: Take out Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £20–30
The food is delicious, the menu is impressive, and it's located very close to my home.
The Chinese food was decent, not the best I've ever tasted, but certainly not the worst. I opted for takeout for dinner, and the price was very affordable, around £1 to £10 per person.
Very nice chicken sweetcorn soup. The mushroom chow mein was also good, but lacking in bean sprouts or water chestnuts. I would expect them in any chow mein. Prices are very reasonable and the staff are nice.
