Great choice of beer. Brilliant food. Will have to return on a Thursday for the pensioners lunch. I did enjoy the venison burger though. Did a revisit and had the Special Steak pie with mashed potatoes. Dessert was orange cheesecake and ice cream. View all feedback.

A very disappointing visit on an otherwise lovely sunny evening in a nice setting. Bog standard pub food largely cooked from pre prepared bought in/frozen eaten in an unloved outside space. Barman's welcome was cool at best felt like we were an inconvenience to him even on a quiet night. We have visited twice this week, once for lunch and the second time for an evening meal. Both visit were fantastic, lovely staff, very welcoming and helpful. Food delicious! Fresh, great size portions and a reasonable price. Dogs loved the dog ice creams. Staff very helpful with allergy advice. Lovely to spend time in a proper pub! Will definitely visit again when we are back in the area.

Fantastic find on a holiday walk. Friendly staff with plenty of local knowledge. Delicious home cooked food (including the puddings), good varied menu… well kept local ales. Dog friendly. Couldn’t fault it.
