The Cumber... read more The food at this restaurant is absolutely beautiful. I haven't been here for long but I've been to many fish and chip shops, and this one stands out. The Cumberland sausage was amazing, with a perfect texture and taste. The chips were also cooked to perfection, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, just the way they should be. I would highly recommend this place to anyone thinking about coming here - it's a hidden gem.

My husband and I get takeout here once a week, and I have to say the fish and chips are delicious. The staff is also very friendly.

My mother had an awful job trying to please me and I've got no better as I've grown. I've had fish and chips in various places and either found the batter soggy, or the chips too well cooked for my liking but when my mother was alive she and her friend used to eat in here and recommended it to me but I was too picky to try it. However, I was walking past one day and the smell drifted out and really drew me in and I'm so glad it did! I went in for a sit-down meal and was hooked from then on. Extremely pleasant staff, both upstairs and down and very reasonably priced meals too with an excellent variety to choose from.
