What Reece Gray doesn't like about Bryson's Tea Room Craft Bakery:
I think that their chocolate éclairs could be the best in two countries! I consider myself a cake connoisseur, having lived in Lancashire and now Cumbria, and I found these éclairs during a 3-mile walk today (actually two walks, shhh!) in Kirkby Stephen. We were in need of a hot drink on market day (Thursday) so popped in. The upstairs restaurant was closed but we managed to get a couple of high stools to perch on while we had our drinks. Nice artisan bakery. View all feedback.

read moreLocated in the scenic lakes, Bryson's offers a blend of delights and disappointments. While their artisan bakery is praised for delectable treats like chocolate éclairs and banoffee pie, service issues and inconsistent food quality tarnish the experience. Patrons note high prices for items often served in haste, with some food appearing microwaved. Additionally, staff organization leaves much to be desired, with complaints about a lack of gluten-free options and chaotic queuing. Despite these setbacks, the vibrant atmosphere and friendly staff—as well as the charming outdoor seating—can make for an enjoyable visit, especially on a sunny day.
