The Chicken Lounge is really something special. Right now...
This is a causal bar atmosphere. Definitely a real 1980s theme in decor, but very unique and welcoming. If you're in there, it's hard to believe...
Not at 2:00. Yelp lied to me. I drove two hours from Philadelphia to eat them. I look forward to every hair, but it's closed. I'm sad...
Pretty good!. My husband and I gad our first visit to The Chicken Lounge yesterday. I was pleasantly surprised by tge fact that NOTHING is fried...everything, for the most part, is grilled! The grilled wings were juicy and flavorful. I ordered the Buffalo Chicken sliders, which were good....but I'm left wondering if the grilled chicken strips that were in them weren't actually those prepared Perdue chicken strips you buy in the meat section of the grocery store. The buffalo sauce on the sandwich was pretty tasty, at least. And the grilled potato pancakes were okay, too; about the size of a half dollar coin, but again am left wondering if they are frozen. I'd definitely go back for the wings, though...they were quite good!
1/2 good, 1/2 bad. Amazing wings, infamous nachos, great sandwiches, and nice atmosphere. BUT there tends to be a lot of drama and bitching between the staff. The management tends to pick on certain members of the staff who are doing their job. The two or three fantastic cooks who really stood out to me as being phenomenal we're fired for not bein able to keep up. Yet as a customer I could even see the poor kids were being thrown off because the coffee fueled micromanaging manager, August is constantly trying to do their job to the point where they don't know what's done and what's not. It's a shame. They used to have one cook named Shane who blew my mind every time I went in, which back then was more then once a week and he was one they said couldn't keep up. He was a machine! And a master on the grill. He was clean, fast, friendly, and made the best fold I've ever tasted there. Then the Bar back says he was fired for being too slow. The only time I EVER saw him slow down was when August would jump in his way cause he was tweaked out on a pot of coffee. It was a shame. Pats a great cook too though. All in all a good place if you ignore the occasional drama. 7/10
