Stumbled upon this hidden gem whilst staying near by...The fusion cuisine offers fresh tasting food that the chief takes time and pride in presenting..Great service, with friendly staff... View all feedback.
What Salvador Alves doesn't like about Hello Sailor:
Good looking place with a small room and nice terrace. Menu seems refreshing given the usual in the area. Food is good, but not superb. Service lacks organization and kindness. No Portuguese native speakers on the staff. Lots of noise in the room. At the end the waiter did not know how to issue a proper invoice with the customer VAT number. View all feedback.
Food is very good, the ambience is inventive and fancy, the price is alright. Kitchen's closing at 10 p.m.

Worth the extra 30 metes walk up the hill. If you want a chilled out bar and restaurant pay this place a visit. Great menu/food and tasty selection of drinks. Only had lunch but it looks like a great place for the evening. Oh and the waitresses are super friendly, and had to the experience. Give it a go....
Hello Sailor is absolutely my favourite restaurant in Arrifana.Local and very good tasting food, we love the octopus salad! And we had to get a coffee every night. Some of the staff speaks German,I'd you are not able to speak EnglishThank you so much, every time we come back we feel welcomed like at home.
We were 2 couples from Vancouver Canada. 60+ and 30s. Had 2 dinners here and both were fantastic. It looks like everything is done right in the kitchen (no flash heat from the freezer). We pretty much tried the entire menu (not the hamburger. We get those at home) and didn't find anything we didn't like. Besides being great tasting the presentation was outstanding (we watched the chief using tweezers to put sprigs on the plate). The place opens for dinner at 7pm and you don't want to get there to late as they run out of selections. Reservations are a good idea. As for payment and cost: bring cash. It's not a big deal as we found many places in Portugal are this way and so we got use to using cash. And compared to Canada, it's not expensive.
