Tapa-caña (d'tablas) - Alicante

Interesting concept of Tapas! They bring the plates and you can choose what you want. You pay at the end based on the number of empty plates you have. They have decent vegetarian options as well. Everything is not Spanish though and you may not get the typical Spanish tapas items. Deep fried goodness :

Nice place, delicious food and additional service! Great idea for a tapas square. All snacks are fresh and delicious. We don't eat meat and we have a huge selection of other tapas. It's really delicious. The service of this place is amazing. Smiling, funny and very nice men. I want to come back

Great little jewel, went there after reading checks and not disappointed. Staff were entertaining and quickly served food. Great prices and selection of tapas. A tray with food on small wooden blocks comes out and you choose what you want. And they'll go on and ask yourself what's next! Obviously not many vegetarian (cheese, pommes, Koleslaw) options, but a lot of fish and meat. And most dishes are deep fried or bread on a slice. Recommended!

Great concept, great idea, really small portions, so you can taste what you want. Beer is not the best, but they have quite good Vermouth:

One word: amazing! Simply just a local place havin' it's tradition offering variety of tapas and drinks in a different way, which is kind a very pleasant. Queeing in front of the restaurant for a couple of minutes worth it guys! Was here six years ago and couldn't help my self goin there again and it was just perfect! Many thanks to all the staff passing with the trays of tapas for us! They haven't stopped for all the time we stayed there. A very good job!
