The Hat (the Original) - Alhambra

The hat is one of my favorite places ever! The pastrami burgers are always delicious and also the chili cheeses fries! An absolute jewel of a place? Thank you. The hat!

A long time favorite and keeps the bar high for pastrami sandwiches. Still coming here after 25 years. Delicious pastrami and big chili cheese fries. You have many other things that are always my visit here. Great food sharing (or not), but the food sizes are still very large. When I first came as a teenager, I could eat a whole pastrami sandwich and chili cheese fries all alone, now I have to share the frits with my 3 children to put a dent in them. Come on. If you've never been, give it a try, you won't be disappointed. For those who were not in a very long time. You now have a larger back parking space and a back seating area with bench-style tables.

Went to another The Hat in Temple City weeks before and can confirm that the taste and quality at sites are uniform. Order the Pastrami Dip again and very satisfied. Good part of Pastrami for the price. If you try to be healthy conscious, share one for two and eat some greens from other haha. Be careful, it can consume a little chaotic.

Insanely good! The portions are gigantic and the sandwiches stick to your ribs. The pastrami is shaved, not those thick diner cuts. Its a perfect dip but also great on a cheeseburger. I would order extra pickles with everything and beware of the large fry, it?s quite large.
