Contribute FeedbackArowhon Pines Resort offers a beautiful rustic setting in Algonquin Provincial Park. While diners can bring their own wine and there is no corkage fee, the food quality doesn't always meet expectations. The restaurant features a buffet of appetizers and main courses, and a delicious dessert spread. The diverse menu includes French-inspired dishes, with special attention to food allergies. The attentive staff, beautiful surroundings, and historical ambiance make Arowhon a unique dining destination. Prices are on the higher side, but some diners may find the experience worthwhile.
Excellent local cuisine. everything is freshly cooked and the menu changes daily. the environment is beautiful and rustic. views of the algonquin park are visible from each table. dinner with an appetizer, before homemade suppen and salads begin their culinary adventure. the most important courses are...origin and full taste. desserts are a must.
Dining with a group of university friends 45 years ago was a delightful experience. The buffet spread was plentiful and offered many unexpected dishes. We were encouraged to bring our own beverages, which enhanced the overall enjoyment of the evening. Overall, it was a fantastic meal.
We stopped in for lunch after a canoe trip and the food was great. Gorgeous dining room on the water. Beautiful grounds, gardens, views. Just loved it and loved the old time simple beauty.
Although the setting is lovely, the food at this restaurant does not live up to expectations. The menu selection is limited, with self-service for appetizers and desserts. There is only one vegetarian option, which was inedible. The chef did make another dish for one person in our group, but it was only adequate and did not justify the discounted rate offered by management. The servers were friendly but inexperienced, often clearing plates before everyone at the table had finished. Overall, the experience felt more like a summer camp for children with high prices. This restaurant is not worth the drive or the exorbitant prices.
I’m already missing the wonderful food with the greatest attention to detail and friendly attentive service.
