unfortunately I sat for an hour waiting for two orders of fried rice. I NEVER got my order. I ended up paying for my appetizers and tea and leaving after being told that they can't serve their seated customers in a timely manner because they are getting too many phone orders! Eating some amazing Chinese food for lunch!!! — at Sum Hing 三興 Chinese Restaurant.
This is our favorite place to eat in Algona! Love the generals tso's! It does take a little longer to get your food because everything is made fresh. It is worth the wait!
I've never had a problem here before but today my sesame chicken was soggy came with a random inch of cabbage at the bottom that was also accompanied by an inch long hair. Not impressed.
Best place around for awesome Chinese food! The crab rangoons and eggrolls are one of a kind. Everything tastes great.
Second time we came here. Waited over 40 mins for food the first time, we ended up leaving because the food still wasnt done and we had plans. This time we waited over 30 mins. Broccoli chicken was slimy, rubbery and in a white sauce that was lumppy. I just couldn't eat it. But, we gave it a second chance. It maybe for others, just not us. Prices are steep. 40 dollars for three meals and sodas.

They have some of the best Chinese in North Iowa. I wish they were a buffet because all the dishes I have had are great! The Crab Ragoon are some of the best I've had. The place has a nice atmosphere friendly staff. I go there frequently always have a great experience.
Food here is great... if you can ever get it. Kitchen just not getting the food out on a Friday night. They seem to prioritize the takeout orders over the dining room. Maybe take out is the way to go.
I’m sorry to say that if you think this is good Chinese food, you might need to explore more options. I visited for lunch and experienced pretty poor service—took a long time for someone to take my order and nearly 30 minutes for my food to arrive, despite the restaurant not being busy. I was close to walking out. As for the food, it was disappointing. The wonton soup had no flavor and lacked wontons, and the chicken dish I ordered was the worst I’ve ever had at a Chinese restaurant. The chicken was almost unrecognizable as meat, and the sauce was exceedingly salty. To top it off, the prices were quite high. I understand that Algona doesn’t have many choices, but honestly, frozen food from Hy-Vee would be a better option than this.
Been in Algona for 2 days now for work and quickly noticed this and the Mexican restaurant are the only real places to get food around here. Food is always good. Service is always slow even though I 've been the only one in here both times. Don 't get the crab rangoons they are just cream cheese wontons. Make sure you bring a fly swatter if you 're going to eat in though!
I live out of town but ALWAYS eat here when I come back to visit. The food is fantastic. Always fresh with great flavors. Prices are MORE than fair. Especially the lunch specials. The service is super pleasant and I always walk away feeling that they appreciate my business. In short, the food is the best in town and the service is delightfully pleasant. I recommend this as the best restaurant in the region.

Love, love, love the food. The service is awesome. Be prepared to wait because every dish is made fresh. I have tried lots of different dishes and they have all been amazing!
