Pizzeria Lo Smeraldo - ALGHERO

We found this through Trip Advisor and visited because of the reviews. We then visited again because we liked it so much the first time. It’s a pizzeria off the beaten track. It’s full of locals (which in itself is a great recommendation) but as a tourist we were also welcomed and made very comfortable. The pizza was marvellous, washed down with tasty Sardinian beer. The pizzas come in three sizes for one (very generous), for two (very generous) and a metre pizza size which we didn’t try. Huge choice of toppings and boxes provided to take away what’s left if you’re defeated. In summary tasty food in a relaxing atmosphere with lovely staff

We had two delicious, huge, perfectly cooked italian pizza, the ingredients were resh and the service was good.

They offer delivery service, after confirmation not hearing anything anymore. So I walked to the place to show them the online order, they didn’t take care and asked me to go away. Rude service!

Extensive choice of pizza with local wine and local prices! For 8 of us it was €100 with alcohol. Good service and great tasting food.

After travelling from Olbia to Alghero after flying in from the UK and not arriving in resort till late at night, this place was a welcome sight. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The menu consisted of various pasta dishes and lots of pizza. My wife opted for a hot and spicy pizza, whilst I opted for a half metre long, thin crust pizza with sausage, mushroom and bacon. Both were washed down with beer. Basic Italian cuisine, but hot, tasty and quick service.
