My partner and I had our plates cleared within a minute of finishing our meals. About 5 minutes later we both finished our drinks. We were planning on having another round of drinks and dessert, but 15 minutes went by and none of the 3 front of house staff had made any effort to ask us if we wanted anything else. They let us sit with our empty glasses while they cleared empty tables and sat new customers. The restaurant was not particularly busy, and our table was right next to the door meaning the staff were constantly walking past us. We couldn’t help but feel like they genuinely didn’t care about our custom and seemed to make every effort to ignore our signals. After some time, we finally got the attention of the waitress, but at this point we had been waiting 15 minutes for some service and had lost patience, so we asked for the bill and went elsewhere for dessert and more drinks. Service was awful—the wai... read more Only giving 1 star because I can’t give 0. Ate here a few nights ago and even with a reservation we waited 15–20 minutes to be seated. Service was awful—the waiter clearly didn’t want to be there and barely checked on us. The food was worse: we had a mussels pasta and a calamari-and-olive pasta. The calamari dish was weirdly off—the pasta was piping hot but the calamari and sauce were cold. Both plates were overcooked and just bad. We left feeling sick. If you want good food in Alghero, skip Mirador. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: €20–30 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 4
