What Anonym dislikes about Hopera:
the location in civic square is great. but it is only advisable if there are few people. when, as it is logical in summer to alghero, there is the full (and here there are so many tourists really) the service is completely insufficient, the waiters, although good and kind, do what they can but can not follow everyone, and there are therefore very long waits that make you tired and irritate. they should put a lot more... We ordered the ravioli with gorgonzola and it was good. it came fast and we have no complaining about eating, but the service could be much better.
On the occasion of the half alghero marathon, coming from the extreme albissola, we arrived a day before the event. We immediately fell in love with the location. the square attracts a lot. the purely tourist place is organized well, simple welcome, kind and fast! overall we were satisfied; fast service. absolutely honest prices and constant quality/price ratio!.
Ate here multiple times as a coeliac, gluten free pasta options available. Did get one meal with a gluten bit of pasta in it but thankfully I spotted it and they swapped with no issues and completely understood why. Nice mojitos, generally very good service, central location, and open for a late lunch!

We're so glad we didn't read the previous reviews. The pizza and carbonara were very good. We'll be back tomorrow. The service and wine were top-notch
The bad reviews are definitely not okay; as a trained chef with high standards, this restaurant deserves at least a 3.8-4 rating! The spaghetti was excellent, and the other three dishes were also fine!
I don't know why they have such low reviews. I ate there first, and only checked the reviews after my third visit. The seafood fragola was delicious, as was the tiramisu, the grilled octopus, and the calamari—everything was delicious. I can't say a bad word about the service. The service was inconsistent. They were definitely quick to come over, and when you order, you say you need a moment, but sometimes the response is unpleasant because you already know what you want to drink. That's the only minor downside. The rest is great, I recommend it.
Almost perfect food, good service, good location and lots of space. It's very hard to find negative things.
Luckily we didn't read the reviews beforehand, otherwise they probably would have discouraged us. The food was delicious, the service was flawless. We've had better carbonara, but it wasn't exactly bad. The gnocchi were okay : .
