very kind staff but not ready to manage the inconveniences of a complete service. too long waiting times for an appetizer divided into two and two chips. not to mention the inviting appearance of the google page with photos of delicious fish dishes, taken from this year's menu for lack of staff. a restaurant on the seafront that can not serve really amazing fish. As most on the menu was unavailable, I chose fish of the day sold by weight. I got a tiny fish they claim weighed 350g and to top it up, it wasn’t fresh and the guts had not been cleaned properly. Service was really slow. Will not be coming back!
This place is a real gem. A stone's throw from the Carlos V, just opposite in the bay. We ended up eating here three out of the seven nights we were in Alghero were very impressed with everything we ordered. Also lovely for an afternoon drink snack, as the outdoor seating is directly on the bay the views are second to none. All the staff were friendly attentive, accepting of our bumbling attempts at Italian with a smile. Reasonably priced for what is delicious food, exceptionally fresh fish the best pizza we've had whilst in Sardinia. The pasta is incredible too. Despite being off season busy most nights particularly at the weekend, so I'd recommend booking a table. Although busy staff remained cheerful on the ball throughout each visit. Highly recommend, a must do whilst in Alghero.
We are in Alghero for a month and we find ourselves returning over and over to El Tro. Not only is the setting magnificent, right on the water, but the food is consistently outstanding. We’ve had pulpo(octopus), shrimp with bacon, ravioli with saffron and mushrooms, pasta with clams and mussels, porchetta (pork) and salad, all which were great. They serve pizza by the meter, or half meter! Be sure to try the traditional Sardinian dessert, Seadas, which is indescribably delicious. Christian, the head waiter is extremely professional and pleasant host. You’ve got to try this wonderful place.
Could be great but honestly let down by weak service offering. Pizzas are good and location is lovely by the sea Staff just disorganised and seem unhappy. Prices very reasonable and should make a great alternative to lunch in the nearby Hotel Carlos V but somehow they are getting it wrong Maybe try a smile?!
We decided to have a meal here because it was close to our hotel and the place was busy. The service was so poor four people left saying that they had waited 40 minutes on their bill. The staff ran after them and didn’t deal with the situation in a very professional manner. Do yourself and favour and avoid this place.

A mix of flavors and fragrances in a unique setting.. The dishes are exceptional.. from appetizers to dessert.. abundant and rich.. absolutely recommended... prices more than just.. Thanks for the great dinner....
We had dinner here last night, we had a table near the sea... magnificent view. The very courteous staff, excellent dishes, 1/2 meter pizza with two flavors the Venetian and Ortolana... excellent cooking, the above vegetables cooked on the exceptional grill. We then took the grilled squid with baked potatoes and salad... very good! The only flaw was the kids of the commens playing and running around the tables without anyone saying anything.
I keep coming here for these homemade Culurgiones, fresh, which are a wonder and an experience to try! In love with the first bite! The club has a strategic position on the rocks.
Not only dinner, but also great aperitif or lunch a few meters from the sea....in the city!!
Restaurant on the cliff of Alghero, excellent dishes, high quality pizza and professional and friendly staff. Recommended!! !

Nice location. sin the tanph of stagnant algae, which at a certain time was really unbearable and the small professionalism of the staff. the idea of pizza per meter is not bad, but very complicated order. There is no possibility that everyone can choose their own. the choice of very poor meat. in case of celiac there is the possibility of a single dish with meat. no contour and no gluten-free bread. I personally believe there are so many things to improve. sin!
Wonderful location in complete relaxation, excellent quality of food and wines, very abundant dishes and competent and friendly staff. .recommended
I had dinner at the restaurant el tro with my friends on August 14th. Despite the characteristic and suggestive environment, we were greeted by a strong smell of algae (marcescent) that filled the air. the staff was kind but a little disregarded, despite not many other people. the quality of the dinner was definitely good, but the evening was damped by the hurry that was put to stand from the table, even before 23. in good substance, a positive but better experience.
