What Eatboy doesn't like about Hotel de la Plage Santa Vittoria:
We got a terrace seat, so the view was great and romantic. The charcouterie starter was pretty even steven. The veal tartare needed some lemon. I can't remember the main course, but chocolate mousse and cheese cake for dessert. The food was pretty much middle ground at a fair price point. Service was good. If you go here, get a terrace seat for max ambience and romance. View all feedback.
To eat wonderful food on a balcony overlooking the bay at Algojolo will be hard to beat. We stayed at the hotel for a fortnight and couldn't have enjoyed our stay more. The hotel is spotless, the staff unfailingly friendly and if you are looking for an idyllic break this would be difficult to better.
Had a great stay at this hotel for 6 nights. The resort itself is quite small but in August full of life. The hotel hasn 't got a pool but you don 't need one as it is literally on the sea front. The room we stayed in was small but very clean and well serviced. There was however no fridge, kettle, safe or lift which for able bodied people it is ok as only three stories but if elderly or disabled this would be an issue. There is carparking facility and a bar. More interesting back in our room there was a very small seperate toilet which we nicknamed 'the cupboard! '. As a man of 6 '05 I had to get in and sit down before I could close the door! The bathroom looked as though it had been renovated recently and was large enough. The bed was comfortable if a little hard but that 's just my taste really. The breakfast was charged separately at 8 euro p.p and was buffet style Mediterranean which was held in the dinning room which has a fab vista with terrace overlooking the sea. The staff were all friendly and you could also eat there in the evening (another review for that but was very good). All in all for a two hotel I think it is value for money but would have given it 3 1/2 stars if I could, would definitely recommend though!
My family and I ate dinner twice here during our 1.5 week trip to northern Corsica and we enjoyed both experiences. They had the typical local fare on the menu, and we enjoyed steak, boar, charcuterie, fish soup, veal, and fiadone across our visits. This restaurant also had what turned out to be the most memorable food item of the vacation: the mushroom pepper sauce on the steak was amazing, but since my son doesn't like sauce, I put it on my side of pasta and almost had another meal. The restaurant is right on the ocean, with an indoor dining room and a row of tables outside. We sat inside both times to avoid smokers, but the views were still excellent. At the time of sunset the sky lit up in shades of orange and red. My son has food allergies, and the staff was wonderfully accommodating. We indicated the allergies in the online reservation, and the server was already equipped with suggestions. The chef also stopped by our table each time to confirm everything. With egg and nut allergies it is difficult to take dessert, but they came up with something for him both times. We are grateful to the staff for the tasty yet safe dining experience.
We chose this restaurant for an important occasion (a birthday party) after making a comparison between all the restaurants in Algajola village. Our confidence was not disappointed. Fresh and beautifully cooked steaks of various fish: sea bream, sea bass, John Dory fish; fish soup; pot of brocciu cheese; excellent desserts. Fair price for the standard of Corsica: 155 Euros for five people, including a wine bottle at 25 Euros. Friendly service. We could not sit on the few tables available on the beautiful terrace overlooking the sea (for those, booking is required), however our table, even inside, allowed us to enjoy the view of the sunset on sea.
