Owner... read more Since we came to live in the region of Axarquia a year ago, one of our favourite places to dine is Bar Cristabel in the lovely white village of Alfarnate. Owners are Augustin, (the restaurant is known as Augustin 's), and his wife Maria Del Mar who does the cooking. The Menu is varied with some unusual house specialities try their Pastel de Cabracho as a starter, a seafood mousse and the food, consistently excellent. The atmosphere is friendly and authentically Andaluz, and prices are excellent value, with a meal wine costing about 16 euro per person. They have a lovely coffee liquor 'de la casa ' to end your meal with. The Restaurant is open from 9.30pm except on Monday, and in winter time Thursday to Sunday.
