This restaurant has its ups and downs. The Pad See Ew and sushi were enjoyable, but the Udon dish was quite disappointing. It had very little flavor and my kids described it as tasting like water with plain noodles and vegetables. On the bright side, the shrimp tempura that accompanied it was really delicious. However, the service left something to be desired as well; there was only one server available. She was plea... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Yamazato Sushi Spice:
I have been to this restaurant easily maybe 30+ times and ordered take out same amount of times. For some reason their customer service declined significantly over the years. I recommend their sushi but ordering anything outside of sushi will leave you confused and question your taste buds. I think last week was my last time going there after many failed attempts : View all feedback.
This place is very charming and cozy. The food is incredible! I’ve tried both the katsu and the teriyaki, and both were outstanding. The staff is fantastic as well!
I've been living here for a couple of years and have tried numerous sushi places in search of a great spot. This has become my go-to restaurant for sushi in the NOVA area, thanks to both the delicious food and the lovely atmosphere.
Pretty good for a local hidden gem of a sushi place. The quality is impressive for the price you pay.
The vegetarian roll and the dish my friend had was delicious. However, I have a constructive complaint. I ordered Pad Thai Jae off of the vegetarian menu. As someone who refrains from eating animal products, I was happy to see they had some promising options. However, the Pad Thai Jae is made with fish sauce and is *not* vegetarian despite being advertised as such. The fish sauce was so pungent and forward in the dish that I found it inedible. If something is advertised as vegetarian, please make sure it truly is. A dish under the vegetarian section has to be vegetarian. I’ve had Pad Thai many times and have never had it with fish sauce. While I respect the tradition and the choice to make it with fish sauce, it should be removed from the vegetarian menu and fish sauce should be mentioned in the description of this dish. Because I was unable to eat the dish, I mentioned the unexpected taste to the wait staff who was very kind in removing the dish from my bill. I really appreciated their desire to make the situation right, and would recommend this restaurant despite my one experience.
Very very good! I was surprised that they weren’t very busy. Please support this local restaurant. My favorite that we tried was the hole in one. But everything was fresh and tasty!
