What Cary Tanner doesn't like about The Bentley Of Alexandria:
The room decorations are ok. The tile in the bathroom was loose. There isn't a vent in the bathroom. I got bit by some insect and left a welt on my leg for about a week. The hotel itself has a nice lobby, but the restrooms are one level up, and you must walk up the stairs. The bar was full the 1st night and the two guys working was slow as molasses. Wait time for a drink wasn't on par by any chance. The Town on Alexandr... View all feedback.

If I could give 20 stars I would. This is an absolutely beautiful and historic hotel with a lot of history. Everything from the food to the service is exceptional. Staff is friendly and helpful. Beds were comfortable and room was nice and clean and very chilled for the hot summer. I could spend weeks here. Thank you Martha and the staff for an amazing unforgettable time in this historic hotel
I stayed at this hotel while in town for my uncles wedding. The check in out was great. The hotel is very dated, but I already knew that when I booked the room. I’m very much into history and interior design, therefore, I thoroughly enjoyed the first floor of the hotel. The antique furniture, museum like atmosphere, and endless amount of intricate detailing was nice. I honestly didn’t have anything bad to say UNTIL I went downstairs for the hotels infamous brunch. I was definitely discriminated against because of the color of my skin. I was told that I couldn’t eat there because I didn’t have a reservation. Mind you, I was a guest at the hotel. A paying guest. Not to mention, there were SEVERAL empty tables. So, to the young ladies that greeted me in the restaurant on the morning of July 30th…shame on you all. I know Alexandria is a backwards small city, but that doesn’t mean I deserved to be treated the way I was treated. My money is green just like the next person and it spends the same.

Every thing has closed down.Walkability: Nothing around to walk too.Food drinks: Only 3 restaurants around near by.
Service was beyond expectations. Besides several staff recognizing me throughout my stay and saying hello each time, I ended up being stuck at the hotel because my flight was canceled. The airline booked me at a different hotel for the night BUT there were no taxis or Uber running tonight (small town woes). One of the key staff saw me waiting several hours in the lobby and came over to ask if she could help me with anything. After explaining my situation, she said, get your things, I 'm taking you to your other hotel. Small town woes turned into small town hospitality. Thank you, Michelle (and Angel). I 'll be back!
