Out of all of Alexandria, this is my go-to pho joint, and with good reason, not just because they have excellent vegetarian and regular pho.Family owned, clean, comfortable and great menu options, you can tell the kitchen staff put a lot of heart and soul into their cooking. Whether you're stopping in for a quick bite for yourself or with friends, the staff is very accommodating and willing to be flexible with certai... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Pho 95's:
What else can I say, for DC area it is relatively cheap. But the food quality is horrid. Actually got sick from the bbq and usually is sold with broken rice. It was bland, overcooked, and just nothing I would ever order again. Which is surprising as the is usually a simple, go to order for Vietnamese cuisine. But as I stated, pass on it. One saving grace was the almond cake was actually fresh, and very good. But the... View all feedback.
The pho sucks around here compared to Colorado. Their greedy with the portions, it 's a complete rip off, their large rare steak is a small at best. I ate the whole thing, drank the broth, and was still hungry... for 15 dollars. Never a again. I 'm not paying 30 for a meal.Food: 3/5
This was the biggest mistake, normally I order chicken pho soup. But today I ordered shrimp fried rice, the ingredients sounded delicious however I was in for a rude awakening the white rice was clumped 2 days old rice and let's talk about the shrimp.... see for yourself the actual shrimp that goes inside those little spring/egg rolls! Very disappointed! so NOT worth $15
Good portion size and the ingredients were fresh. Tofu in the pho chay was cooked really nice and the mushrooms were a nice touch, not something I see at every viet restaurant. Unfortunately the veggie broth was a bit lackluster, I wish there was more lemongrass flavor in it.Other than that, the atmosphere was calm and the staff were nice. I asked how long my takeout order will be ready the guy at the counter said 10 min. It was done in 8! I’d like to come back and try other things.Sorry photo looks messy like I said I got it to-go.
This place has over 4.5 stars for a reason. Friendly people and delicious food. Their turnaround time is superb. I came here for the first time a few weeks ago with my daughter and had to come back with the whole fam. My favorite is the P5 and the fried rice. Yum.
Aw man, I really don't like to put up poor reviews especially for Viet food because I am Vietnamese. I'm truly confused how it has any more stars. I ordered to-go a Pho Dac Biet, Bun Dac Biet, and a pork and shrimp spring roll. The pho was super dark and tasteless, and didn't have any pho smell, almost like black colored water. I couldn't eat it. I actually still am not sure what that liquid was supposed to be. The meat was thin. There were barely any noodles. The bun thit was also disappointing. The meat was again too thin and barely grilled. The shrimp were pretty good. The egg roll was actually very good. The fish sauce was too watered down. And then I ordered the pork and shrimp spring roll, and it came with only pork but it was once slice of the thinnest almost non existent piece of pork. The sauce was good. My fiancé thought it was vegetarian, that's how thin the pork slice was. The one good thing is when I ordered it, the food came pretty quick, so I assume it was quick service at the restaurant. I was so disappointed. It's too bad..
