Osteria Marzano - Alexandria

We usually love Osteria Marzano. But, not this time. We attended one of their special wine pairing events. The meal included five courses accompanied by a different wine. The food was not particularly appealing. The portions seemed to be small. The wine was OK. It wasn't a good experience and we won't attend future wine events. We will go back for their regular menu which is very nice.

Delightful as always. Seated back in the back room, they always remember me and my preference for the calm back room atmosphere while others prefer the lively bar. Chef Carmine visited the table with his delightful personality and smile always seeking honest feedback, a true professional and humble chef. Daou wine distributor representative brought some charming insights and details about the vintners. Oh so nice.

Great atmosphere. Had a wonderful dinner. The carbonara was ok but the risotto with zucchini, shrimp and scallops was amazing. Our teenage boys enjoyed their pizzas. The tiramisu, crème brûlée and affogato were wonderful. Would definitely go back.

My family and I had such an amazing experience, I had to review this place on both Google and Yelp too. Fantastic and beautiful dining restaurant that’s a hidden gem in the neighborhood. Extremely classy. The food was outstanding, from appetizers to entrees to desserts — everything was so satisfying and we all even had to take some home with us due to being so filled from appetizers. The highlight of our experience though was our server Keller. He’s very patient, accommodating, and extremely professional. He made us feel right at home and gave us a great first time experience there. What an awesome representation of the restaurant’s mission he is! We will definitely be returning and would love to dine with Keller again!!
