on another day the service was perhaps better, but they were not prepared for the Valentine's Day, and it wasn't even packed. we discussed leaving because it took so long and the waiting staff was clearly overwhelmed, but then the appetizer came out and it was amazing! then we waited a little more and the escape was even better! the next day we chased home for a snack. What User doesn't like about Namaste:
30 minutes for chips and sauce. 1 hour for appetizer. the escape was quite small. I understand it was Valentine's Day, but what was the point of the reservation if we had to wait so long.
We love this restaurant! The staff is wonderful and the food is fabulous! All over great place to eat!
We took our out of town houseguests there as they are big fans of Indian cuisine. They were very impressed by not only the huge amount of options on the menu, but the quality of the food as well. They were particularly excited to see all the dessert choices, something that apparently they rarely see in their local Indian restaurants. We sat in one of the elevated booths, which makes it very private and quiet, allowing us not to scream at each other as in so many restaurants nowadays. The service was friendly, knowledgeable and very efficient.
Lovely place and awesome staff. Food was delicious. Had o save room for dessert. Rose ice cream was great! 10/10
Good Indian food in Old Town Alexandria. I enjoyed my thali. It featured a variety of delicious dishes.
